Bobbito plays the tracks. The Beatnuts state the facts.

Recently, my C.M. Famalam radio program partner Lord Sear and I were taking live phone calls at my Thursday night radio show, and JuJu of the Beatnuts happened to get through. "The new LP's done. It's called Take It or Squeeze It. Plus, me and Psycho Les are working on tracks for a new LP from Big Pun."

There is a longtime bond between our show and the Beatnuts. The duo has blessed the mikes on several occasions. And on their 1994 self-titled album, they sampled my voice for the chorus of their song "Fried Chicken." Where's my publishing credit, JuJu? I've also had the good fortune of introducing them onstage in concerts here and in Europe. My fondest memory was seeing JuJu toprock and then go into a windmill in the middle of a show in Copenhagen! Los Beatnuts son locos, pero me les gusto mucho. Viva Los Beatnuts!

Galt MacDermot, featuring Angela Ortega - "Slums" (1972)
JJ: Yeah, I got this. It's a Spanish lady singing.
B: Yeah, Angela Ortega. When I opened the record store in '96, this was the first $100 record we carried - Galt's Ghetto Suite. That one and his Woman is Sweeter, which I think you supplied to us.
JJ: I probably brought you his Ghetto Suite too. I went to Galt's house in Staten Island and got all his rare albums. It was cool to be able to sell the extra sealed ones, but more importantly, just to have every single incredible release of his. He's a really nice guy too. He knows Busta Rhymes; he knows everybody who samples his shit. He was progressive for his time, just as hip hop is now. He told us stories of jamming with drummer Bernard Purdie.
